Where to Play Pool in Woodinville
If you want to play pool in Woodinville, Rooneys Sports Bar has two full-size tables, and they are free all day every Thursday. We are at 17626 140th Ave NE in the Woodinville Towne Center, open 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily, with free parking in the lot.
That is a shorter answer than it used to be. Real pool tables have quietly disappeared from this part of the Eastside. They take up floor space that a restaurant would rather fill with seats, they need maintenance, and a lot of rooms have swapped them out for another row of tables. Ours are still here.
Two real tables
Not bar-box novelties shoved in a corner. Two proper tables with room to actually take a shot, cue racks on the wall, and enough clearance that you are not apologizing to somebody’s back every time you line one up.
They sit in the game area alongside the dartboards, which means the whole corner of the room functions as a game room rather than an afterthought wedged next to the restrooms.
Free pool every Thursday
All day Thursday, the tables are free. No quarters, no time limit, no sign-up sheet.
Thursday is a good night to plan around generally. It is also Tequila Thursday — $6 Pueblo Viejo shots, $6 house margaritas and Palomas, and chicken taquitos three for $9 — and Open Mic Comedy at 9 p.m. with sign-ups at 8:30, hosted by Donald Robert, no cover.
So the arithmetic on a Thursday here is: free tables, cheap tequila, live comedy, and a kitchen that runs until midnight. It is the best-value night we run.
The rest of the game room
Pool is the headline, but it is not the whole thing:
Electronic darts. Two league-ready boards along the back wall. Proper boards with scoring, not a dusty bristle board with three darts missing flights.
Golden Tee. The classic golf arcade cabinet. Grab a round between games.
Pinball. Godzilla, by the bar.
Shuffleboard. For when the group wants something lower-key that everyone can play without a lesson.
Touch Tunes jukebox. Your table picks the soundtrack. Use that power responsibly.
Pull tabs. Thirty bowls of Washington State pull tabs. Cheap entertainment with an outside chance of paying for the round.
Between all of it, this is a place you can spend four hours without ever really sitting still, which is most of the point.
What to eat while you are playing
The kitchen is scratch pub food, not vending machine fare: house-ground burgers, hand-cut wings in five sauces, Mondo Nachos, bacon cheese tots, a Bavarian-style pretzel with house queso, bacon-wrapped jalapeños, coconut shrimp. Plenty of it works one-handed while you wait for your shot.
There is a late-night menu from 10 p.m. to midnight every night, so a long session does not have to end because you got hungry. Full menu here.
Behind the bar: 12 beers on tap, an extensive whiskey, bourbon and scotch list, and scratch cocktails. Happy hour is 3 to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
Bringing a group or a league
A group of eight can rotate two tables all night without anyone standing around too long. If you are organizing something bigger — a team night, a work thing, a birthday — give us a few days and we will hold a section near the tables.

Games are not the only thing on
While you play, there are 20 big-screen TVs and a 12-foot projector screen running DirecTV and Comcast, so whatever is on is on. Seahawks, Mariners, Kraken, Huskies, Cougs, Sounders and Reign, plus most of the rest of what is being broadcast. Ask the bar if you want a specific game up.
Autumn is going to be busy. The Seahawks are the defending Super Bowl champions and open the season at home on September 9 — full schedule here.
