Happy Hour in Woodinville: Deals Every Day of the Week at Rooneys
Happy hour at Rooneys Sports Bar in Woodinville runs 3 to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, with deals on food, well drinks and canned beer. On top of that there is a different daily special every night of the week, including $2 tacos on Tuesdays and $5 burgers on Wednesdays.
We are at 17626 140th Ave NE in the Woodinville Towne Center, open 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily, with free parking.
The core happy hour: 3 to 6, Monday through Saturday
Six days a week, three hours a day. Food, well drinks and canned beer all come down in price. It lands in the window between the end of a work day and the start of an evening, which in Woodinville is also right when the tasting rooms start winding down.
There is no separate happy hour room and no minimum. Sit at the bar, sit at a high-top, sit where the game is. Same deal either way.
What is on every night of the week
The daily specials run independently of the 3 to 6 window, and some of them are the better value:
Monday — Martini Monday
$9 Tito’s martinis and $9 Buffalo Trace Manhattans. Proper cocktails at a price that does not usually accompany them.
Monday is also Industry Monday: 10% off from 8 p.m. to close for anyone working in the service industry. Woodinville runs on restaurant, winery and tasting-room staff, and Monday night is when a lot of them are finally off.
Tuesday — Taco Tuesday
$2 tacos with any beverage, $6 house margaritas, $4 Pacifico bottles. Straightforward and hard to beat. It is one of the busiest nights of our week for a reason.
Wednesday — Trivia and Hump Day burgers
$5 burgers from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., which is a genuinely good lunch, plus $7 Tito’s and $7 Jack’s running into the evening.
Then Beat the Geek Trivia at 7 p.m. Bring a team, no cover, and the kitchen stays open the whole time.
Thursday — Tequila Thursday and free pool
$6 Pueblo Viejo shots, $6 house margaritas and Palomas, and chicken taquitos three for $9.
Thursday is also free pool all day, on two of the only real pool tables left in Woodinville. No quarters, no time limit. And Open Mic Comedy at 9 p.m. with sign-ups at 8:30, hosted by Donald Robert, no cover.
Between the drink prices, the free tables and live comedy, Thursday is arguably the best value night we run.
Friday and Saturday — Karaoke at 9:30
Happy hour still runs 3 to 6 on both days, then Karaoke with Sandra Dee at 9:30 p.m., no cover, both nights. The late crowd rolls in around then and the kitchen keeps going.
Sunday — Game day
$11 for a hot dog, fries and a beer during every Seahawks, Mariners and Kraken game. During football season we open early for the 10 a.m. Pacific kickoffs, so the deal starts when the games do.
Worth noting for autumn: the Seahawks are the defending Super Bowl champions and open the season at home on September 9. Sundays here are about to get busy. There is a full season guide with every date here.
The late-night menu counts too
There is a dedicated late-night menu from 10 p.m. to midnight, every night. It is not a happy hour exactly, but it fills the same role at the other end of the evening, and in Woodinville it is close to the only option. Most kitchens in the area stop hours earlier.
This is why a good share of our late crowd is people getting off shifts at restaurants and tasting rooms around the valley.
What you are actually eating
Whatever the special, the kitchen is the same one: house-ground burgers, hand-cut wings in five sauces, Mondo Nachos, bacon cheese tots, a Bavarian-style pretzel with house queso, bacon-wrapped jalapeños, coconut shrimp and a rotating spread of scratch pub food.
It is not typical bar food, which is the thing most people are surprised by on a first visit. The full menu is here.
And what you are drinking
Twelve beers on tap, an extensive whiskey, bourbon and scotch collection that is genuinely one of the deeper lists on the Eastside, and scratch cocktails. The Chubby Mary has a following.
Make an evening of it
Happy hour is a good excuse to get in the door, but the room is set up to keep you there. Two pool tables, two league-ready electronic dartboards, Golden Tee, Godzilla pinball, shuffleboard, a Touch Tunes jukebox and 30 pull-tab bowls, plus 20 big-screen TVs and a 12-foot projector with whatever game is on.
